PETALING JAYA: Shuttlers Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik stormed into the men's doubles final of the China Open after a brilliant 21-18, 21-17 victory over South Korea's recently crowned world champions Kang Min-hyuk-Seo Seung-jae at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Changzhou on Saturday (Sept 9).

It was sweet revenge for national No. 1 Aaron-Wooi Yik after losing to Min-hyuk-Seung-jae in the same stage at the world meet in Copenhagen two weeks ago.

Aaron-Wooi Yik have now reached their third final this year after finishing runners-up at the Indian Open in January and the Indonesian Open in June.

They will be looking to go one better and end their long wait for a World Tour title when they take on home favourites Liang Weikeng-Wang Chang in the final tomorrow.

The Chinese pair fought hard to overcome Japan's Takuro Hoki-Yugo Kobayashi 21-16, 20-22, 22-20 in the other last four clash.
